L.A. GOP Overwhelmingly Re-Elects Chairman

Press Release - Republican Party of Los Angeles County Overwhelmingly Re-Elects Chairman; Also Revamps Board of Directors With New Officers

(Burbank, CA) The Republican Party of Los Angeles County (RPLAC) overwhelmingly re-elected its current Chairman, Mark Vafiades, while also voting to elect an all-new Board of Directors in its 2014 County Meeting.

“This vote is a validation of the promises we made and the promises we kept,” said Vafiades who was chosen by members for another two-year term.  “Our Party is stronger, more structurally sound and more united than any time in recent history.  I can’t wait to work together and achieve even more success.”

The County Party members also voted to elect new members to every position on its Board of Directors: 1st Vice-Chairman Arturo Alas, 2nd Vice-Chairman John Wood, Jr., Secretary Sandra Siraganian, Assistant Secretary Maureen Johnson, Treasurer John Goya and Assistant Treasurer Travis Pearman.

Vafiades added that yesterday’s elections were “at once a vote to stay the course as well as energize the structure of our leadership team,” adding that “While we raised and spent more resources, registered more voters and won more elections than in previous years, we know we can and will do even better.”
